Raiz Helping Hands
A community-led initiative from Iligan City, started in 2017 — extending help through relief drives, seasonal giving, and simple acts of kindness that bring hope.

ABOUT US
Raiz Helping Hands is a small, community-led initiative based in Iligan City. We started on November 1, 2017 (Kalag-Kalag) with one simple goal: to serve.
That day, my siblings, cousins, and I served arroz caldo and shared it with families visiting the cemetery. We were young back then — some still studying, some just starting our careers — and we didn’t have much. But seeing people smile and feel cared for gave us a kind of joy we couldn’t forget.
After that, we said: “Why not continue this?”
In honor of our grandparents, we formed Raiz Helping Hands — and since then, we’ve continued giving during Christmas, New Year, the start of classes, and especially during typhoons and floods.
We serve through our own pockets when we can, and with the help of generous sponsors and donors who believe in the mission.
